Last night saw nearly 500 local people taking part in the BHF's York City Jog with the sun shining as they crossed the finish line. Thank you to everyone who turned out on a showery evening to help the nation's heart charity continue its vital work and to get their hearts pumping.

We hope the evening will raise around £20,000 and would urge everyone who took part to send in their sponsorship as soon as they can - every penny will make a big difference to the work we can do. Prizes for fundraisers that send in the most amount of sponsorship by Tuesday 15 April as follows:

1st prize - Grandstand tickets for two for a day at York Races (30 or 31 May race meeting)
2nd prize - Stella McCartney tolietries gift set
3rd przie - Whittards Hot Chocolate Collection gift set

Winners will be contacted after 15 May.
