Donate to BHF this festive season to help fund lifesaving research.

Since BHF was founded in 1961, we've funded research that has been at the forefront of scientific progress across the globe, bringing hope to people affected by cardiovascular disease. But our work is far from over. Cardiovascular disease still kills 1 in 4 people in the UK.

This Christmas, we’re asking people to gift something that can’t be unwrapped. You can’t wear it. You can’t play with it. And it doesn’t reboot when you turn it off and on again.

Last year we funded

  • £18 million of new research into heart failure.
  • £12 million of new research into heart attacks.
  • £4 million of new research into stroke.

Since BHF was established, the number of people who die each year from cardiovascular disease in the UK has fallen by nearly a half. But there's still work to be done. Today, there are over 7.6 million people living with cardiovascular disease in the UK.
